This year, Lumen Solutions was able to help with the technical lighting of an artwork for the Amsterdam Light Festival.
Amsterdam Light Festival is an annual event where artists from all over the world can exhibit light artworks, specifically in Amsterdam. This year's line-up included a piece of art by designer Gali May Lucas, called 'absorbed by light'. From the opening in November until the closing in January, this artwork attracts visitors on foot, bicycle or by boat to the Amsterdam Hermitage.
Lumen Solutions contributed to this contemporary work of art, by having Rosco Litepads and Gantom flicker generators actually illuminate the mobile phones. The Litepads are each equipped with two separate LED strips, so that two Gantom Flicker generators can be connected to one Litepad. This is done in order to give a subtle effect so the people on the bench are watching an online movie for example.
On behalf of Lumen Solutions, we have done our best to meet the demands and wishes of this project as well as possible, and we also hope that the Amsterdam Light Festival is satisfied with the achieved result.
In addition, we would like to thank the Amsterdam Light Festival & designer Gali May Lucas for a great collaboration, and we wish them a lot of fun with this telling work of art in the coming years.
