AFAS Circus Theater lights up!


Lumen Solutions has recently been invited to join the thinking proces about a new lighting-technical interpretation of the AFAS Circus Theater in Scheveningen.


You may have already seen it; the characteristic domed roof of the Circustheater in Scheveningen. Nowadays it cheerfully colors along with the performance/event that is going on at that moment.

The Circus Theater had long desired to involve the building more in the performances and other activities in the building. Upon arrival, it must be immediately clear what the theme of the evening is. This can be a musical such as Wicked, but also a corporate event where the color(s) of the organizing company shine brightly.

That is why it was decided to provide the roof with sustainable, energy-efficient and high-quality Anolis LED luminaires (IP67) equipped with RGBW LED and special optics (standard accessories from manufacturer) to create the right projection surface. The environment should not be inconvenienced by the LED light.

The setup consists of 12 pieces Anolis ArcSource 96 RGBW for the large dome roof and 8 pieces Anolis ArcPad 48 for the small dome roof. This allows the entire roof to be provided with opaque lighting. And it replaces a large number of HQI 400W floodlights.

The choice for Anolis was quickly made. In the coming years, the installation must work smoothly in a merciless environment with a lot of sun, salt and wind, especially low maintenance and must have a control system that is easy to adjust. Anolis has all this to offer! Together with the Circus Theater, Lumen Solutions is confidently looking forward to a colorful future.
